Hi, I'm back and hopefully have the time to keep this up now.
I've been hearing a lot lately about what the next bubble is. We had the tech bubble, which turned into the internet bubble. Followed by the housing bubble, and then another market bubble. Everyone seems to think we are currently in an education bubble now. Of course- everything moves in cycles, so the fact that the mainstream media calls these bubbles is just them searching for things to keep you watching.
But- the fact is, that education is a major problem in this country right now. You see- for the last 30 years- everyone keeps preaching that you must have a college degree, and since most people just listen and follow- and don't actually think for themselves about what makes logical sense, they all did it. Of course- like every other herd mentality issue- they get caught up in the what, and don't think about the why, and the how. So now- we have millions of college graduates with degrees that are a waste, and don't think they should do a task that they look at as below their education. Add in, the fact that they have gobs of college loans and no real skills, and you can see the issue.
However, we have a huge opportunity for young people. Take action, do something, start a company. Learn a skill, a trade, and think for yourself. Stop watching what the mainstream media is telling you, and get out and make something of yourself. Start, by making a list of things you could make and sell. Then make a list of services you could provide to people. I don't care if it's cleaning houses, or painting shutters, just figure something out and write it down. I bet- if you put your mind to it, you could come up with 25 legitimate business ideas that you could start with no money at all.
So dismiss all this talk of bubbles, know that you may or may not have a degree in something that matters, and start contributing to society. Oh- and teach others that just following the ideals that others preach isn't always the best way to go.
